The pond was constructed to replace a smaller pond which had a small unimpressive waterfall; the original pond was also leaking and becoming green very quickly.

The pond basin was increased by 50% and the waterfall replaced and moved to include a longer running stream, with a small feeder pool at the top.

Multi stage filtration was installed at the summit to keep the water quality first class.

Finally, Alpines and Ferns where planted along the sides of the stream and water loving plants placed in the pond to  give the pond a natural look.
